The Associated Cement Companies (ACC) Limited has announced that it has acquired 100 per cent equity stake in Encore Cements and Additives Private Limited (ECAPL).

In a statement here, ACC Managing Director Sumit Banerjee said ''we have acquired 100 per cent equity stake in ECAPL. Consequently, this company now becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of ACC.'' ECAPL has a slag grinding unit in Vishakapatnam, he said, adding, the acquisition would help ACC build its presence in Andhra Pradesh.
